Hi!
When I was a child, I wanted to be a chef, since my dad is a chef and I liked to be with him at work to see what he was doing. As I got older I started to like other things, like drawing, making models and everything related to technical drawing. However, I did not know what an architect was. Therefore, I wanted to be a civil engineer or builder, however, a decision wasn't made until the 3rd year of secondary education, where I obtained more information and I started showing my interest in architecture.
What made me decide for architecture was the fact that it had a greater combination of areas, such as the mathematical sciences, the arts and design.
My experience in this career is that I liked it a lot so I do not regret making this choice, I love the atmosphere in my university, despite not being in my country I felt well received by my classmates. I have gotten great and valuable friends, which I feel that they have helped me to adapt better in Chile.
When I leave the university, I would like to work as an architect and create my own firm, and I would like to continue studying the urbanist branch, which has a closer relationship with society and its environment, in which I would like to contribute to achieve a positive change in this subject.
Chef? OMG! this is unexpected. Architecture is a beautiful career, good choice :)
